I want to say something about pit bulls and rottweiler's. I had a rottweiler before. I had her 10 years before she passed on. She was a female that weighed 130 pounds. She was the most wonderful dog any one could ever have. She was bought up with alot of love and returned that love. Rottweiler's should not be on the top 10 list. I also owned a Chihuahua for awhile. That dog was the meanest dog ever. Nice to me but not to other people. He bite a 3 year girl because she picked up his toy. Not a good dog to have. My son at the age of 7 was bite in the face by a Golden Retreiver. I got the pleasure of seeing it happen. Alls he did was go to pet the dog. The dog also knew my son very well. Found out later that the owners children were very mean to the dog. Never leave children alone with any kind of dog, they aren't always nice to them. I now own 4 pit bulls. I trust them dogs with my life. They are the most loving dogs I know. And yes they can bite but alot of times people say they were bite by a pit bull and they weren't. It was a dog that looked like a pit. And there are lots of dogs that do. I took a simple test of trying to pick out a pit bull from 25 pictures of different breeds of dogs. Guess what it took me 5 times to find the right one. And I own 4 of them. Everyone should take that test and see how many times they are wrong. Makes you think doesn't it? So how many true pit bull bites are there? Most people don't even know what they look like. Also I would like to say our service men are trained to fight so does that mean we should ban them too? Remember it is the people that raise dogs to be mean that make them mean. To the people that fight pit bulls you are SICK. That is not right for any person to do. And it's for the love of money that they do it for. Stop giving pit bulls a bad name, they do not deserve it. When caught for fighting dogs they should get a long prison term. How about all the pits that are hero's. Of course that's not in the papers. Know your facts before you judge. I know of a city that has banned pit bulls but that same city allows a person to keep a dog that has bitten people not only once but twice. I know it for a fact because it states it in the city ordinance laws.You are allowed to keep a vicious dog but not a pit bull that has never bite anyone. Is this right? I don't think so. I am going to fight that law and ask those 5 people who decided to ban the pit to take the 25 pictures of dogs test and see if they really know what a true pit bull looks like. I didn't get it right and I own 4. And by the way my pits love everyone and every animal they come in contact with. I too at one time had a bad out look on pits. Never believe what you read. Get the facts before you judge. I love my dogs and they love me back in return. Treat them right and they will treat you and everyone else right.
