I know most of you will be surprised to hear this but this is really the truth. I always cuddle my 13" flowerhorn cichlid which can get quite playful. It lets me touch its big hump in its head and also its body. Of course, I am doing all this with my hand in the aquarium as opposed to most of the pets out there. |

I never got into regular fish...I wouldn't have though a fish would let you "cuddle" it. That is truly amazing, Do you have a companion for your FH?

that is so cool. I know of someone who can do that with their Koi and their fresh water jelly fish!

My parents have a huge aquarium at their house and they have a baby black bass and a baby catfish in there. The bass has gotten to where it will let you touch it. Pretty cool thing. I don't think petting a fish is good for it though as it removes the protective slime on their bodies.

I have two cichlids. One has become quite mean which I know is their nature. They are really my husband's pets so me cuddling them won't come anytime soon. But I know fish need love too.

Mommy really loves her fish and there are many, especially chiclids who are "wet pets" Oscars and some of the larger chiclids seem to really enjoy the interaction. Mommy's angels, severum and parot fish follow her around. I know they recognize her because they don't do that with anyone else.
