Does anyone have any advice on a good companion dog for a Doberman? Obviously another Doberman would make a great companion, but I am looking for another breed.

Boxer!
My mother is part of a Boxer rescue league and her boxers seem to get along with all sorts of dogs, so far our Boxers have feel in love with a Chihuahua, Boxers(duh), Akita's, Shepherds, Dalmatians, and a Pug. Boxer have a bad name but are truly kind gentle animals. There is no funnier feeling then a boxers jowls gumming your arm when your sleeping and he wants to play!
Oh Oh Oh, I got it!!!!!!!
A mini pincher! It would be like Dr. Evil and Mini-me!!!

Be good to your pets, Aren't they good to you?

I would say a boxer as well as they are very loving dogs and they are tough enough that the doberman probably will not get aggressive towards it.

Do a little research before making that choice. Some dogs don't get along with same sex dogs. But that being said, dingo's get along with everyone! And at 45 ish lbs, can hold their own.

Untill next time.....Buck

Our old man Gunner is a rottie and he has a problem throwing up if he eats or drinks to much at one time. We have to keep on top of him for this reason. I have to wonder if other rottis have this same problem? Besides joint pain, he has never been sick a day in his life and he is 9 now. Do you have to watch how much yours consumes?

Untill next time.....Buck

My Dobe was lonesome and I got a Rottweiler puppy for her. I figured that she would have a companion of about the same size as her and it paid off when they would play, made it easier not to have to keep telling her to settle down and be careful.
