I love all dogs however, sad to say that I nearly got my nose ripped off by a pit,I was 6yrs old.. though I had no clue at the time it was a Pitbull. Not until my 8yrld son a few years back had to get several stitches in his face from a Pitbull/Lab mix. brought up my bite and my mom told me it was as well a Pit all those years back (before the big ol Pit Bull bashing) I like but, every time I see one now I get nervious and I know the dogs can sense that I am and that probably is not very good. heh.

no not good at all. and ya a pit can react to your fear. dont look um in the eye if you dont know them.

My pit is the best dog ever! I have had many dogs but he is by far the most loyal and great with my son! I'm sorry for whoever has been bitten by a pit! its not the pits fault it could really be any dog it just happened it was a pit. They are great dogs as long as they have great owners. All dogs smell fear just some react differently to it. My dog would def hurt someone who threatened me because pits are loyal to their owners and want to please us so much, when my boyfriend works nights for weeks at a time my dog keeps me safe and he protects my son and I. Pit bulls are probably more ambitious and act on their feelings more than other dogs but that shouldn't give them a bad name. IT's all about how you raise your dog. Any dog could be a killer.
