I wonder whether anyone has it as a pet. This creature is so fierce that it has landed a few of my neighbors in hospital! No jokes. They really do bite even if their master is around!

I believe Marvin has a Rott.
While I have never owned on my self, I have to say allot of the behavior of the dog is due to the owners training and how it was raised. My sister had a Pitbull (Mean right?) Well hers was raised right and didn't have a mean streak in his body!
However, I am very sorry to hear about your experiences with the Rott.

I love this breed of dog and believe they are only vicious if treated badly! most of them are fine and I would trust them in the family home.

There is nothing wrong with a Rott! I had a Rott, a female. From the time she was... well, a few weeks. She had not been born yet, but she was ours. That dog could not have been sweeter because she would have... well, who knows. The point being... Rotts. turn vicious when they are not raised correctly. We had a lake behind our house, and she would go swimming with us! She loves that! She is very protective, and that is wonderful! She's very caring, and even jealous, which is great too because she wants respect. And yes, Rotts. are great with children, actually.

My neighbors have a Rottweiler. He wouldn't hurta fly! I do agree, the dog's temperament resolves around the owner. If the dog is raised well, the dog will be well!

My big brother Gunner is a Rottie and he is a good dog! My mom & dad rescued him when he was 4 months old and now he is almost 9 yrars old. He has never bit anyone and I think that is because he is well loved and has good maners. Any dog can be bad if they don't have firm but loving parents to guide them. One of my sisters is a lab/pitbull and she is a sweety. Not just because she is half lab, but because my parents raised her right!

Untill next time.....Buck
