Sad time of year

Got your attention, didn't I. As many of you dog lovers know, this is a sad time of year. Not for myself but for the many puppy mill last minute gift purchaises. You get these parents who are walking down the mall, thinking of what to get Jr, when they come up to the pet store and see the cutest puppy in the window. They just know Jr. would love it and drop $500 for a puppy. Two months later that puppy is either tied to a tree outside or at the pound. Neither is a good outcome for little fido who only needs a little guidence to help him potty outside. Some people need to realize that we are like little children and need loving guidence. Some of us need a few months just to let our insides catch up with holding our potty all day. Then there are the other child like behaviors we exibit like chewing and such.

So do a little research first. We puppies need to go to the doctors sometimes just like little people do. We need good food, love, respect, and above all else,...Time. It takes time for us to develope into the model citizen and your time to help us along.

I am just so happy my mommy, daddy and sissy spend so much time with the four of us. I am also happy that we don't have to spend our lives tied to a tree. I think as people wake up, more puppies will have as good a life.
