African Grey Parrot

These birds enjoy eating fruits and nuts, and they also enjoy eating various forms of leafy matter. The African Grey Parrot is broken down into two categories, and this is the Timneh African Grey Parrot and the Congo African Grey Parrot. These birds may be found in the Western part of Kenya, The Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola, and Tanzania. The Timneh African Grey parrot is much smaller than the Congo African Grey. They are darker in color, and they have an upper mandible which has the shape of a horn. This bird can be found in the Guinea forests, and it lives in African countries such as Sierra Leone, Mali, and Cote d'Ivoire. Another bird which is closely related to these two species is the Ghana African Grey. It can be found in the Principe Islands along with Fernando Poo.

When it comes to intelligence, the African Grey Parrot is very impressive. While animal intelligence in general is difficult to measure, Parrots are generally regarded as being the smartest birds in existence, and the African Grey Parrot is exceptional even in the Parrot family.
