American Quarter Horse

American Quarter Horse was developed by the descendants of Virginia and the Carolinas. The breed comes from a crossing between the “Local Chicasaw Indian Mustang Ponies” with the Horses of Thoroughbred that were imported from the United Kingdom.

It was used in the North America for the first horse race. The Quarter Horse got its recognition in the year 1941 and since then it has become one of the most popular breed in The United States of America. The American Quarter Horse are also exported to different other countries.
The height of the American Quarter Horse varies from 14.3 hh to 16.1 hh. Most commonly found colors of the American Quarter Horse can be any solid color for instance, chestnut. Some features of the American Quarter Horses are different from other breeds.

The American Quarter Horse has a muscular neck, short head, short body along with powerful hindquarters and shoulders. The strong legs of such horses have made them famous in extended regions of the world. The American Quarter horses are extremely fast, strong as well as they are capable of making tight turns and quick starts.
