Appearance

The Miniature Pinscher stands about 25 and 30 cm (10 and 12.5 in) at the withers, and the dog weighs roughly 4-6kg. The coat of the dog is smooth and short, with colors of stag red, red, black or chocolate with tan markings. Min Pins frequently have cropped ears and a docked tail, cropping is not required however.

Temperament

Min Pins may have a mean look however they are very sweet and affectionate dogs. The Min Pin is an inside dog that can stay outside for relatively short periods of time. They resemble puppies throughout their life, unless they are mistreated. Despite their size, the dogs can be fiercely loyal to their owner and home environment. Miniature Pinscher's are not for everyone because they are very strong willed, curious and frolicsome. Their owners must have a great sense of patience and time. Over spoiling the Min Pin may create a bit of a selfish and stubborn dog. The dogs can be easily injured during rough play with a child.
