Yorkshire Terrier Dogs and Puppies

Yorkies are often very small animals, generally weighing no more than 7 pounds (3,175 Kg. kilograms). Based on overall registrations, Yorkies are the #2 most popular breed dog in the United States trailing only the Labrador Retriever.

Temperament

Regardless of its Toy classification, the Yorkie breed still possesses the lively terrier personality. Individual Yorkies will differ, but they are overall generally independent, intelligent and courageous. Yorkshire Terriers make great pets and are quick to determine where they fit in the family.
